Three things I have been grateful for this month

It has been a little while since I wrote a gratitude post, so instead of writing what I am grateful for this week, I will round-up my whole month, because I have done some great things this month and I love reflecting upon the good things that have happened in my life.

Seeing the Spice Girls

I have loved the Spice Girls since I was little. I used to watch their Spice World film on repeat, and sing and dance to their songs in my bedroom. However I didn’t get the chance to see them live when I was younger, so when they announced last year that they were going on tour, I just had to get a ticket. And who better to share this experience with than the woman who put up with me blasting their tunes on repeat, than my mum? Well I was not disappointed, their show (minus Posh Spice) was spectacular! They played all of their hits and exploded onto the stage with a firework bang. I can honestly say this was one of the best gigs I have been to, I laughed, cried and sang at the top of my lungs to some of my favourite songs. I feel really grateful that I got to share this experience with my mum and that I got to fulfil a childhood dream.

Going on holiday to Los Alcázares in Spain

I feel really grateful that I got the opportunity to go to Spain for a week with my boyfriend. We work together on the same team so getting a lot of time off together isn’t as easy as if we had separate jobs. But to our delight we were kindly allowed to take a week off together.  We had the best week, chilling in the sun, swimming in the pool and eating amazing food. Our trip to Cartagena was also a highlight as we got to see an amphitheatre which is one of the earliest and most complete examples of the Roman world, and we also went on a catamaran trip.

Finding a new flat

After having such a great time on holiday, me and my boyfriend decided we really want to live together. This was always the plan but our holiday cemented the fact that we’d be perfect sharing a home together. On Friday we found a perfect flat, which is beautifully decorated and is reasonably priced to rent. We have put a holding deposit down and if everything goes to plan, we are hopefully going to move in, in a couple of weeks time.

As always I love hearing about what you are grateful for, please let me know in the comments below.
